Technical Product Owner

Location: Bangalore

The team

Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation practice helps financial institutions modernize their technology platforms and deliver scalable, customer-centric digital solutions. The team focuses on digital product development, API-led delivery, system integration, and technology-driven transformation, enabling seamless digital journeys and reusable platform capabilities across banking, fintech, and payments ecosystems.

Your work profile

- Act as the Technical Product Owner for assigned digital journeys and capabilities, bridging business requirements, customer experience, solution architecture, and engineering delivery.

- Own end-to-end solutioning for features, including system interactions, API contracts, orchestration logic, data flows, security controls, failure handling, and operational readiness.

- Translate business, customer, operational, and regulatory requirements into detailed epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

- Drive API-first delivery and reusable platform capabilities while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, compliance requirements, product KPIs, and delivery timelines.

- Lead functional and technical solutioning workshops with product, architecture, engineering, information security, data, operations, compliance, and partner teams.

- Decompose digital journeys into channel, orchestration, integration, system-of-record, data, and operational components.

- Evaluate solution options and trade-offs across customer experience, reusability, scalability, latency, resilience, implementation complexity, security, and cost.





- Create and maintain solution artefacts, including context diagrams, process flows, sequence diagrams, interface maps, data mappings, decision tables, and solution documentation.

- Identify upstream and downstream impacts across API gateways, middleware, core systems, third-party platforms, analytics, and operational processes.

- Collaborate with solution architects and engineering leads to validate technical feasibility and ensure approved solutions are accurately reflected in requirements and product backlogs.

Key Skills Required

- 5–10 years of relevant experience in technical product ownership, product management, solutioning, or technology delivery.

- Robust experience in API-led delivery, system integration, and end-to-end technical solution design.

- Experience in REST APIs, API contracts, API gateways, middleware, and microservices.

- Strong understanding of digital journeys, orchestration logic, data flows, and system interactions.

- Experience translating business and technical requirements into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

- Knowledge of solution architecture, enterprise architecture, security controls, and regulatory compliance.

- Experience collaborating with engineering teams, solution architects, and cross-functional stakeholders.

- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, product backlog management, and delivery governance.

- Experience creating technical documentation, sequence diagrams, process flows, and interface mappings.

- Digital banking, fintech, payments, or technology-led product platform experience is preferred.

Education

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
