The role is crucial to the day-to-day operations, safety, and comfort of occupants.
Their duties and responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and coordinating all installation, repair and upkeep operations of an organization’s facilities.
- Managing facilities maintenance tasks, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry work.
- Ensuring that all facilities are in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Inspecting buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
- Planning and coordinating all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity, etc.) and refurbishments.
- Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
- Reviewing utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
- Supervising all staff facilities staff and external contractors.
- Creating, implementing, and monitoring facility management budgets.
- Controlling activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
- Having adequate knowledge and hands on experience in handling plumbing, civil, electrical, AC units and general building complaints
- Preferred candidates from hotel industry
