Duty Medical Officer (DMO) – IVF Hospital

Salary: ₹40,000–₹50,000 per month (based on experience and hospital policy)

Job Summary

The Duty Medical Officer (DMO) is responsible for providing medical care to patients undergoing fertility evaluation and assisted reproductive treatments. The DMO supports IVF consultants, monitors patients during treatment cycles, manages emergencies, and ensures high-quality clinical care while maintaining accurate medical records.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate and examine patients attending the fertility clinic.
- Take detailed medical and reproductive history and perform physical examinations.
- Monitor patients undergoing ovulation induction, ovarian stimulation, IUI, and IVF treatment cycles.
- Assist IVF consultants during procedures such as egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and other fertility-related interventions.
- Prescribe medications and order laboratory and diagnostic investigations as directed by consultants.
- Monitor patient vitals before and after procedures and provide post-procedure care.
- Identify and manage medical emergencies, stabilize patients, and escalate to consultants when required.




- Maintain accurate electronic and manual medical records.
- Counsel patients regarding medications, treatment protocols, and follow-up schedules.
- Coordinate with embryologists, nurses, anesthetists, and laboratory staff for seamless patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control practices, patient safety standards, and hospital protocols.

Eligibility

- MBBS from a recognized medical college.
- Valid State Medical Council registration.
- Freshers or candidates with 0–2 years of clinical experience are welcome to apply.
- Experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or IVF is preferred but not mandatory.

Required Skills

- Robust clinical assessment and emergency management skills.
- Good communication and patient counseling abilities.
- Knowledge of IVF treatment protocols is an advantage.
