Area Sales Manager – Aqua Feed

About the Role

Pattabhi Agro Foods Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Area Sales Manager – Aqua Feed to drive sales growth, develop market presence, expand dealer and distributor networks, and strengthen relationships with aqua farmers across East Godavari and West Godavari districts.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the aquaculture industry, an established network in the aqua feed market, and a proven track record in sales, business development, and territory management.

Key Responsibilities

- Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for aqua feed products.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenue, sales volume, and market share.
- Identify recent business opportunities and expand the company's customer base.
- Dealer & Distributor Management
- Appoint new dealers and distributors and strengthen existing channel partnerships.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with aqua feed dealers, distributors, shrimp and fish farmers, and other key customers.
- Ensure effective product availability, order fulfilment, and market coverage.
- Market Development




- Develop business across East Godavari and West Godavari.
- Conduct regular field visits to aqua farming clusters, dealer locations, and customer sites.
- Monitor competitor activities, market pricing, customer requirements, and emerging business opportunities.
- Customer Relationship Management

· Understand customer requirements and promote suitable aqua feed solutions.

· Coordinate with technical teams to address customer concerns related to feed performance and product usage.

· Organize farmer meetings, dealer meets, product promotions, and market development activities.

- Collections & Reporting

· Monitor outstanding payments and ensure timely collections in accordance with company credit policies.

· Prepare sales forecasts, market reports, competitor updates, and periodic performance reports.

· Maintain accurate customer, dealer, sales, and collection records.

- Business Performance
- Track sales performance against targets and take corrective action where required.
- Coordinate with management and internal teams to ensure smooth sales operations.
- Support sustainable business growth while maintaining customer satisfaction and commercial discipline.

Eligibility Criteria

- Experience:



7–15 years of relevant experience in aqua feed sales, aquaculture, shrimp feed, fish feed, or allied industries.
- Location Preference: Candidates currently based in East Godavari or West Godavari will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of the regional aqua feed market and established dealer/distributor relationships.
- Proven experience in achieving sales targets, market development, and customer acquisition.
- Strong negotiation, communication, networking, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
- A degree in Fisheries Science, Aquaculture, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline will be an advantage.
