The Assistant Manager will support the Warehouse Manager in managing the daily operations of a leading automobile parts manufacturer’s finished goods warehouse. The role will oversee warehouse activities, inventory, dispatch, manpower, and coordination with the client and Express3PL teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the Warehouse Manager in running daily warehouse operations.
- Plan manpower and monitor work across shifts.
- Ensure accurate stock records in WMS and SAP.
- Review stock counts, reconciliations, ageing, and inventory differences.
- Monitor tyre storage, movement, and dispatch.
- Ensure correct SKU, quantity, and product condition before dispatch.
- Coordinate with the client and Express3PL teams.
- Review daily warehouse performance, identify issues, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure proper documentation and system entries for warehouse transactions.
- Monitor 5S, safety, and warehouse discipline.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports on inventory, dispatch, manpower, and operations.
- Handle operational issues in the Warehouse Manager's absence.
- Ensure client and Express3PL procedures are followed.
Requirements
- Graduate in any field. Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in a 3PL setup.
- Experience in Finished Goods and Manufacturing operations preferred.
- Working knowledge of WMS and SAP.
- Experience managing warehouse teams and shift operations.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel.
