Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible, professional, and guest-focused Restaurant Captain to supervise daily restaurant service and ensure an excellent dining experience. The ideal candidate should have good communication and leadership skills, knowledge of restaurant operations, and the ability to coordinate effectively with the service and kitchen teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests and ensure prompt, courteous service.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of restaurant stewards during service.
- Assign tables and service duties to team members as required.
- Ensure tables are properly set up and the dining area is clean and organized.
- Assist guests with menu selections and provide accurate information about food and beverages.
- Monitor food and beverage service to ensure orders are served correctly and on time.
- Handle guest requests and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain service standards, personal grooming,



hygiene, and food-safety practices.
- Monitor table turnover and ensure guests receive attentive service.
- Support staff training and guide team members in service procedures.
- Report operational issues to the restaurant manager or supervisor.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Restaurant Captain, Senior Steward, or in a similar restaurant service role is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead, guide, and motivate a team.
- Strong customer-service and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of table setting, food service, and restaurant etiquette.
- Qualified appearance and good personal hygiene.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Punctual, responsible, and committed to maintaining service standards.
