Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Accounts & Finance with experience in financial accounting, financial reporting, taxation, and ERP implementation. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting processes in the manufacturing industry and the ability to support the implementation, integration, and optimization of ERP systems to improve financial controls and operational efficiency.

Candidates with prior experience in manufacturing organizations and hands-on involvement in ERP implementation projects will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Management

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and monthly closing reports.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund utilization.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.

2. ERP Implementation & Process Improvement

- Participate in ERP implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment, particularly for finance and accounting modules.
- Coordinate with ERP consultants, IT teams, and internal departments to ensure smooth implementation.
- Map existing accounting processes into the ERP system and identify opportunities for process automation.
- Assist in master data preparation, data migration, system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and reconciliation.
- Support end-user training, troubleshoot ERP-related issues, and ensure effective system adoption.
- Help improve internal controls, reporting accuracy,



and overall financial process efficiency through ERP utilization.

3. Manufacturing Accounting & Cost Control

- Understand manufacturing accounting processes, including inventory valuation, raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Assist in product costing, cost-sheet preparation, and analysis of material, labour, and overhead costs.
- Reconcile inventory and production-related accounting records with ERP data.
- Monitor manufacturing expenses, cost variances, wastage, and operational costs.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, stores, and supply chain teams for accurate financial reporting.

4. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of GST returns, TDS returns, and related reconciliations.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support statutory and tax audits.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.

5. MIS & Financial Analysis

- Prepare monthly MIS reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Analyze financial performance, profitability, expenses, and working capital.
- Provide financial insights to management for business planning and decision-making.
- Develop and improve financial reports using ERP systems and Excel.

6. Team Coordination & Internal Controls

- Support the Finance Manager in planning and managing finance operations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial and operational data.




- Strengthen internal controls and standardize accounting procedures.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting practices, and reporting deadlines.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Practical exposure to ERP implementation or major ERP process improvements.
- Working knowledge of ERP platforms such as ZOHO.
- Understanding of manufacturing accounting, inventory management, and cost accounting.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and audit procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS reporting, and financial analysis.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates with experience in the manufacturing industry will be given preference.
- Prior participation in ERP implementation projects is highly desirable.
- Candidates should have a practical understanding of finance processes and the ability to translate business requirements into ERP workflows.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, IT teams, production, procurement, and inventory teams will be an advantage.
- Candidates with strong learning agility, ownership, and a process-improvement mindset are encouraged to apply.
