We are setting up a state-of-the-art high-end boutique garment manufacturing unit in Surat, specifically catering to export buyers and premium domestic markets. Our product lines focus on luxury womenswear, western wear, salwar suits,bridal & occasion wear, designer kurtas, suits, and premium kids’ wear.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Manager – Garment Production & Merchandising who possesses the combined acumen of a seasoned garment technologist, export merchandiser, and shop-floor manager. You will be responsible for setting up the floor from scratch, recruiting key production personnel, managing technical pattern masters and tailors, sourcing materials across Surat's trade hubs, and ensuring export-grade quality with strict adherence to delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Unit Setup, Floor Planning & Hiring

- Recruit and manage the technical workforce: Master Pattern Cutters, Sample Tailors, Adda (Hand-embroidery) Artisans, Finishers, and QC Inspectors.
- Establish day-to-day work discipline, workflow processes, and line-balancing systems suited for small batch sizes and high-variety orders.

2. Merchandising, Costing & Buyer Coordination

- Review buyer tech packs, digital design sheets, and reference samples to prepare comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM) and consumption estimates.
- Build detailed production costing sheets, factoring in fabric yields, cutting waste, job-work embroidery charges, trims, washing/finishing, and labor overheads.
- Formulate and drive the Time & Action (T&A;) calendar to track development, approvals, and production deadlines.

3. Sourcing & Local Vendor Network Management

- Leverage Surat’s textile network to source luxury-grade base fabrics (pure silks, organza, tissue crinkle, chanderi,



fine nets, viscose) and trims.
- Identify, vet, and manage outside vendors for specialized processes, including computerized multi-head embroidery, Schiffli cutwork, machine pleating/crinkling, and digital printing.

4. Technical Sampling & Pattern Engineering

- Work alongside pattern masters to interpret silhouettes, grain-lines, ease, inner linings, and seam constructions (French seams, bias tape finishes, invisible hems).
- Supervise the development and fit iterations of Proto samples, Fit samples, Size Sets, and Pre-Production (PP) samples for buyer sign-offs.

5. Quality Control (QC) & Export Compliance

- Enforce international export-grade AQL standards (AQL 1.5 / 2.5) from raw material intake to final dispatch.
- Inspect construction integrity, needle tension on delicate sheer fabrics, pattern balance, and embellishment durability before packaging.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

- Education: Degree/Diploma in Fashion Merchandising, Garment Manufacturing Technology (GMT), Apparel Production, or Fashion Design (from NIFT, Pearl Academy, or equivalent).
- Experience: 6–12+ years of end-to-end experience in export houses, couture ateliers, or high-end sampling/manufacturing units.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of ethnic luxury, bridal, and contemporary fusion silhouettes, as well as handling delicate substrates (organza, silks, georgettes) and surface embellishments.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong proficiency in BOM formulation, fabric consumption math, T&A; monitoring, and costing.
- People & Market Skills: Demonstrated capability to lead tailors and masters directly on the floor. Working knowledge of Surat’s textile and job-work ecosystem is highly preferred.
- Languages: Working fluency in Hindi (for floor and vendor operations); professional English (for tech packs and buyer communication).

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
