Production Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to manage end-to-end production operations in a machinery manufacturing/assembly setting. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, scheduling, manpower allocation, material coordination, machine assembly, quality control, productivity, timely delivery and overall shop-floor management. The role requires strong planning, leadership and problem-solving skills to achieve production targets efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans as per order requirements.

- Manage complete production activities from raw material to final machine assembly.

- Plan manpower, machines, tools, materials and production capacity.

- Allocate work to supervisors, technicians, fitters, welders and operators.

- Monitor production progress and ensure timely completion of targets.

- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Design, Quality, Sales and Dispatch departments.

- Control material wastage, rework, rejection and production delays.

- Maintain production schedules, reports and MIS.

- Ensure proper quality standards and inspection at every production stage.

- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions for improving productivity.

- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machinery and shop-floor resources.

- Maintain discipline, safety and 5S on the production floor.





- Handle breakdowns, urgent production requirements and delivery priorities.

- Continuously improve production processes, efficiency and cost control.

Education Qualification

Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering

Candidates with relevant practical experience in machinery manufacturing may also be considered.

Experience

8–10 years of relevant experience in production management, preferably in machinery manufacturing, machine assembly, fabrication, CNC/VMC or industrial equipment manufacturing.

Preferred: Minimum 3–5 years in a Production Manager / Production Head / Senior Production role.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
