New Product Development

Develop new conveyor systems, industrial automation equipment, and material handling solutions based on customer requirements.

Concept Development

Prepare initial concepts, layouts, and mechanical designs based on project specifications.

3D Modelling

Create 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.

4

2D Engineering Drawings

Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.

Design Calculations

Perform design calculations for conveyor capacity, belt speed, motor selection, shaft sizing, and structural requirements.

BOM Preparation

Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), component lists, and material specifications.

Prototype Development

Coordinate prototype manufacturing, assembly, testing, and validation of newly developed products.

Design Validation

Verify product performance, load capacity, functionality, safety, and compliance with design requirements.

Cost Estimation

Estimate material, manufacturing, assembly, and component costs for new products.

Vendor Coordination

Coordinate with suppliers for motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, sensors, fabrication materials, and other components.

Manufacturing Coordination

Work with fabrication, laser cutting, bending, machining, and assembly teams to ensure design feasibility.

Testing & Troubleshooting





Identify design issues during prototype trials and implement corrective actions.

Design Improvement

Improve existing products to reduce cost, improve performance, simplify manufacturing, and increase reliability.

Standardization

Develop standard components, design templates, engineering specifications, and reusable product designs.

Documentation

Maintain design revisions, engineering drawings, BOMs, test reports, and product development records.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Coordinate with sales, production, procurement, electrical, and automation teams throughout product development.

Project Execution

Ensure development activities are completed within the planned schedule and budget.

Customer Support

Assist the sales and project teams with technical clarifications, design modifications, and product demonstrations.

2. Required Technical Skills

- Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modelling and assembly design.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting.
- Understanding of conveyor systems, material handling, and industrial automation.
- Knowledge of mechanical design calculations, fabrication, sheet metal, and structural design.
- Experience in BOM preparation, costing, and material selection.
- Knowledge of motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, rollers, and drive systems.




- Ability to develop prototypes and troubleshoot mechanical design issues.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, GD&T;, and engineering drawing standards.

4. Qualification and Experience

Requirement

Qualification

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

2–5 years preferred in mechanical design or product development

Software

SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MS Excel

Industry Experience

Conveyor manufacturing, industrial automation, or material handling

Additional Skills

Problem-solving, costing, prototype development, and cross-functional coordination

5. Reporting Structure

- Reports to: Design Manager / Engineering Manager
- Works closely with: Mechanical Design, Production, Fabrication, Assembly, Procurement, Sales, and Electrical Automation teams.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
