Job Description – Service Captain

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, pleasant, and responsible Service Captain to join our team at The Port Land. The ideal candidate should be someone who enjoys interacting with people, makes guests feel welcome, and helps create a warm and comfortable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests with a pleasant smile and ensure they feel comfortable.
- Take orders, explain menu items, and assist guests with their choices.
- Ensure food and beverages are served correctly and on time.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
- Guide and support the service team during daily operations.
- Ensure tables and dining areas are clean, neat, and ready for guests.
- Handle guest requests and concerns politely and professionally.
- Ensure the team maintains proper grooming, punctuality, and service standards.
- Assist with opening and closing duties and daily restaurant operations.
- Help monitor service supplies and inform management when stocks need replenishing.




- Be willing to take initiative and help wherever needed to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant.

Experience

Previous experience in restaurant service is preferred, especially in a captain or senior service role. However, a positive attitude, good manners, and a willingness to learn are equally important.

Joining: Immediate joiners preferred.

Location: The Port Land, Willingdon Island, Kochi.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
