# Job Description: Assistant Sales Manager – Furniture Sales & Store Operations

## Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented **Assistant Sales Manager** to drive furniture sales while supporting showroom/store operations. The role will involve **team management, sales growth, customer handling, and overall showroom performance**.

## Key Responsibilities

### Sales & Business Development

* Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.

* Develop sales strategies to drive revenue, leads, and conversions.

* Handle key customers, high-value sales, negotiations, and closures.

* Monitor daily sales, pipeline, follow-ups, and conversion performance.

* Build relationships with customers, architects, interior designers, and business partners.

* Review quotations, pricing, margins, and discounts.

* Track competitor activity and market trends.

### Store / Showroom Management

* Manage day-to-day showroom operations and ensure smooth functioning.

* Maintain showroom standards, product displays, cleanliness, and customer experience.

* Monitor stock, samples, catalogs, and product availability.

* Ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs.

* Coordinate with inventory, design, production, logistics, and operations teams.

### Team & Customer Management

* Allocate targets and responsibilities to the sales team.

* Train, motivate,



and monitor team performance.

* Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.

* Ensure smooth order execution, delivery, installation, and after-sales support.

### Reporting

* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales/MIS reports.

* Track targets, conversions, average order value, and sales pipeline.

* Analyze sales performance and provide insights to management.

## Skills & Competencies

* Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and closing skills.

* Customer-focused with positive problem-solving abilities.

* Strong sales and showroom management skills.

* Good knowledge of furniture/interior/retail products.

* Proficiency in **CRM, MS Excel, and MIS reporting**.

## Qualifications & Experience

* Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline.

* MBA in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage.

* **5–7 years of experience** in furniture, interiors, retail, or showroom sales.

* **1–3 years in a sales leadership, Store Manager, Showroom Manager, or similar role.**
