We are looking for a motivated Junior Mechanical Design Engineer with good mechanical design knowledge and practical experience in SolidWorks and AutoCAD to join our engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Create 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
Apply mechanical design principles to develop practical and manufacturable designs.
Prepare fabrication drawings, cutting drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Understand dimensions, tolerances, fits, and material specifications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Understand fabrication processes, welding, machining, and structural design.
Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to resolve design-related issues.
Modify drawings according to design changes and production requirements.
Ensure drawing accuracy, quality, and timely completion of projects.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 1.5 years of experience in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Good knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals and engineering principles.
Practical knowledge of 2D drafting, 3D modelling, and assembly design.
Knowledge of engineering materials, fits, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and fabrication drawings.
Knowledge of sheet metal and structural fabrication is an added advantage.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
