Role Overview

Boston Institute of Analytics is seeking a motivated and results-driven Academic Counsellor to guide prospective students and working professionals in selecting suitable educational and upskilling programs. The role involves understanding career aspirations, providing accurate program information, building strong relationships, and converting qualified enquiries into successful enrolments.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a student-centric approach, and the ability to achieve admission targets through consultative counselling and effective follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle inbound and outbound student enquiries through calls, WhatsApp, emails, virtual meetings, and in-person counselling.
- Provide personalised academic counselling and career guidance based on students’ goals and interests.
- Explain course structures, curriculum, fees, schedules, eligibility criteria, learning outcomes, and career support services.
- Recommend suitable programs in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Finance, Cybersecurity, Analytics, and related domains.
- Qualify leads, maintain regular follow-ups, and nurture prospective students throughout the admissions process.
- Address queries, handle objections, and convert qualified leads into enrolments through consultative selling.
- Manage the complete admissions lifecycle, from initial enquiry to enrolment confirmation and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate lead records, counselling notes, follow-up schedules, and conversion data in internal systems.
- Achieve monthly enrolment, revenue, and conversion targets.




- Participate in webinars, seminars, open houses, and student counselling events.
- Collaborate with marketing, academic, and operations teams to enhance lead quality and the student experience.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging skills, certification programs, and job market requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

- 1–4 years of experience in academic counselling, EdTech sales, admissions, tele-sales, or a related student-facing role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to understand student requirements, handle objections, and close admissions effectively.
- Experience in lead management, CRM systems, and structured follow-ups is preferred.
- Candidates from coaching institutes, training academies, and online education platforms will have an added advantage.
- A target-oriented mindset with a strong focus on student satisfaction and enrolment conversions.
