About the Role

We're building an internal investment analytics platform that brings together live market data, portfolio analytics and reporting in one place. You'll own the backend and the front end, and help us bring AI into the workflow, turning a working system into a robust, intelligent one.

What You'll Do

- Own and evolve the Python (Flask) backend: APIs, data models and data pipelines
- Build and own the platform's front end in React and Next.js: data-heavy tables, charts, upload flows and approval screens
- Integrate and maintain market data sources, handling instrument mapping, currency conversion and data reliability
- Build data ingestion flows from Excel/Google Sheets, with validation and audit trails
- Build new analytics and workflow features, such as approval flows and portfolio logic
- Design and ship AI-powered features, such as automated research and summarisation, with human review and clear safeguards
- Use AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot or similar) day to day to build faster, and know where AI output needs verification
- Manage deployment and monitoring, and move us toward better testing and environments
- Translate finance requirements into clean technical solutions, working with the product and investment teams

What We're Looking For

- 3-5 years of backend development experience in Python (Flask/FastAPI)
- Non-negotiable:



strong front-end skills in React and Next.js (with TypeScript/JavaScript), including building data-dense, performance-conscious interfaces
- Strong data structuring and API design skills; comfortable with Google Sheets API, SQL/Postgres, and file parsing (Excel/CSV)
- Solid finance fundamentals: portfolio analytics, returns (IRR), multi-currency positions, equity instruments and corporate actions
- Background in fintech, wealth/asset management, or investment analytics preferred
- Strong AI proficiency: hands-on experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI), prompt design, and integrating models into production workflows
- Positive judgment on AI limits in finance: hallucination risk, data accuracy, auditability, and when a human must stay in the loop
- Careful, detail-oriented approach to data accuracy, where small mapping errors become wrong numbers
- Clear communicator who can explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders

Good to have:

- Experience with charting/table libraries (Recharts, AG Grid, TanStack Table) and Tailwind
- Experience with agents, tool use, MCP, or workflow automation (n8n, etc.)
- Experience with RAG, structured outputs, or evaluating LLM output quality
- Experience with market data APIs (Bloomberg, yfinance, Refinitiv, etc.)
- Exposure to cross-border, multi-currency portfolios

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
