Job Summary

We are looking for a Planning Assistant Engineer to support production planning, scheduling, material coordination, and day-to-day monitoring of manufacturing activities. The candidate should have good knowledge of Excel, production planning, inventory, and engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Engineering departments to ensure smooth production.
- Monitor production progress against planned schedules and highlight delays.
- Prepare and maintain production planning reports, MIS, and daily progress reports.
- Track material availability, machine availability, manpower, and production requirements.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring work orders, job cards, and production schedules.
- Follow up with concerned departments regarding pending materials, components, and production activities.
- Maintain proper records of planned vs. actual production.
- Support preparation and updating of BOM, production schedules,



and material requirements.
- Identify bottlenecks in the production process and escalate issues to seniors.
- Coordinate with stores for timely availability of raw materials, components, and consumables.
- Maintain planning data and reports using MS Excel / ERP systems.
- Support senior planning engineers in improving production efficiency and meeting delivery schedules.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of production planning and control (PPC).
- Valuable working knowledge of MS Excel – VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, filters, formulas, etc.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Good coordination and follow-up skills.
- Ability to analyze production data and prepare reports.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems will be an advantage.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Experience

3 years of relevant experience in Production Planning, PPC, Manufacturing Planning, or a similar role.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
