About the Role

The Managed Services Accounting & Finance Services team at Baker Tilly One India helps businesses improve operational efficiency, strengthen financial processes, and make informed business decisions through technology-enabled accounting and finance solutions.

As a Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients by overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and client service delivery across multiple engagements. This role combines technical accounting expertise, client relationship management, operational oversight, and team leadership in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

- Partner closely with clients to support accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance needs that drive informed business decisions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by delivering responsive, high-quality accounting and finance support across client engagements.




- Oversee the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of client deliverables, ensuring alignment with engagement expectations and reporting timelines.
- Manage project scope, priorities, and change requests while proactively escalating risks or concerns when needed.
- Support the development and enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Review account reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and supporting schedules prepared by team members.
- Oversee month-end close activities and support preparation and analysis of financial reports, including cash flow reporting, budget comparisons, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with external audit and tax teams to support annual compliance and reporting requirements.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client communication, issue resolution, and ongoing relationship management.
- Utilize accounting technologies and cloud-based tools to improve operational efficiency and client experience.
- Lead, coach, and support team members through mentorship, training, and performance guidance.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen service delivery, and enhance overall client satisfaction.
- Stay informed on accounting standards, industry developments, and market trends that may impact clients or create advisory opportunities.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required; CA or CPA preferred. Candidates not currently certified should meet eligibility requirements to pursue certification upon hire.
- 5+ years of accounting experience required,



including at least 1 year in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, employee benefits, and financial reporting.
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, month-end close activities, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and related accounting standards.
- Experience with cloud accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Intacct, NetSuite, or similar tools preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust client service orientation with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members effectively.
- Ability to make informed decisions by balancing business priorities, risks, timelines, and client expectations.
