Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented QC Manager to oversee quality control activities in our manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, maintaining compliance with applicable quality standards, managing laboratory operations, and implementing effective quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise day-to-day Quality Control (QC) activities in the manufacturing unit.
- Develop, review, and implement QC procedures, SOPs, specifications, and testing protocols.
- Ensure the quality of raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and packaging materials.
- Supervise laboratory testing, analysis, and documentation to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Ensure compliance with applicable GMP, GLP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements, as relevant to the organization.
- Review and approve analytical reports, test results, and Certificates of Analysis (COAs), as authorized.
- Investigate quality deviations, out-of-specification (OOS) results, and customer complaints; implement CAPA.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance (QA), and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.
- Manage laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, validation, and qualification records.
- Ensure proper maintenance of QC documentation, registers, specifications, and audit records.




- Lead internal and external QC audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Train, guide, and supervise QC team members to improve performance and technical competency.
- Monitor quality performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory chemicals, samples, and waste.

Qualifications

- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related discipline, as applicable to the product category.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in quality control in a manufacturing unit.
- Prior experience in QC laboratory management, team supervision, and quality documentation.
- Good knowledge of GMP, GLP, SOPs, analytical testing, and quality management systems.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Candidate

- Experience in a manufacturing or biotechnology-related industry.
- Ability to manage QC operations independently and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and regulatory compliance.
