Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Form 1040 Manager to oversee the preparation and review of individual income tax returns. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of tax preparers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, and providing exceptional client service. This role requires deep expertise in Form 1040, robust leadership abilities, and a commitment to professional development. Candidates with HNI experience are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee the preparation and review of complex individual income tax returns (Form 1040, including schedules and related forms) for a diverse client base, including highnetworth individuals.
- Provide technical guidance and support to tax preparers, ensuring adherence to firm policies, tax laws, and professional standards.
- Review prepared tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.




- Identify and resolve complex tax issues, researching tax law and regulations as needed.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather necessary information, answer tax-related questions, and provide tax planning advice.
- Develop and mentor junior staff, providing training, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Stay current with changes in tax law and regulations, particularly those affecting individual taxation, and disseminate updates to the team.
- Assist in tax planning and advisory services for individual clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings.
- Manage workflow and deadlines to ensure timely and efficient completion of all tax engagements.
- Represent clients before tax authorities during audits or inquiries, if necessary.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes and procedures within the firm.
