About the Organization

Roots Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to creating sustainable social impact through programs in areas such as Education, Agriculture, Sports, Skill Development and community development. We are seeking a detail-oriented and ethical Accountant to manage financial operations, ensure compliance, and support transparent financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally.
- Verify bills, invoices, vouchers, and supporting documents.
- Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and expense statements.
- Handle bank reconciliation and petty cash records.
- Prepare Utilization Certificates (UCs) and donor financial reports.
- Maintain project-wise financial records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations including TDS, GST, PF, ESI, etc.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Maintain proper filing of financial and statutory documents.
- Support monthly and annual closing activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com)



or related field.
- Good working knowledge of Tally and MS Excel.
- Understanding of statutory compliance and accounting procedures.
- Experience in NGO accounting will be preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
