About the Role -

StockWiz Technologies LLP is looking for a Quantitative Research Analyst to join our research and trading team in Mumbai. The role involves live market monitoring, quantitative research, technical analysis, strategy development, backtesting, and converting market research into data-backed insights for StockWiz products.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of equity and derivatives markets, technical/quantitative analysis, and a genuine interest in systematic trading strategies.

Key Responsibilities -

- Monitor live Equity, F&O;, Indices, and Commodity markets.
- Conduct daily market, sector, and stock research.
- Apply Price Action, VCP, Base Structures, SMC, Order Blocks, and Market Structure analysis.
- Perform quantitative analysis of stocks, indices, and market data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Develop, backtest, and refine trading strategies, screeners, and quantitative filters.
- Evaluate strategies using CAGR, returns, drawdown, win rate, risk-reward, expectancy, Sharpe/Sortino, and consistency.
- Analyze market regimes, sector strength, momentum, and stock-level trends.
- Build and maintain screeners, watchlists, datasets, and research models using TradingView, Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Track market-moving news, corporate actions, economic events, and macro developments.
- Share live market insights and actionable research with the team.
- Maintain strategy performance records, research logs, and research databases.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of systematic trading strategies.




- Compare live strategy performance with backtested results and identify areas for improvement.
- Convert research findings into clear, data-backed insights for StockWiz products.

Requirements -

- 1–4 years of relevant experience in equity research, quantitative research, trading research, technical analysis, or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of Indian Equity and F&O; markets.
- Hands-on knowledge of technical and market-structure concepts.
- Understanding of strategy backtesting and quantitative performance metrics.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and TradingView.
- Ability to work with large datasets and identify meaningful market patterns.
- Strong interest in systematic and quantitative trading.
- Ability to communicate research findings clearly and effectively.

Preferred Skills -

- Experience developing or testing systematic trading strategies.
- Familiarity with quantitative screening and stock-selection methodologies.
- Knowledge of Python or other programming languages for market-data analysis is a plus.
- Experience working with TradingView screeners, indicators, or strategy testing is an advantage.
- Exposure to portfolio/risk analytics and market-regime analysis is preferred.
