KMD is seeking a senior professional to lead global business development and strategic partnerships at the intersection of climate risk, agriculture, insurance, resilience and financial inclusion. The primary focus is to identify opportunities, build institutional relationships and secure commercially viable, impactful assignments across Africa, Asia and other emerging and developing markets. You will engage governments, development institutions, donors, insurers, reinsurers and private-sector partners, connecting policy priorities and development needs with insurance expertise to turn ideas into funded programmes and lasting partnerships. The role combines strategic thinking, commercial judgement and oversight of international assignments.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive business growth: Build and manage an opportunity pipeline, leading proposals,



bids and commercial negotiations to secure recent mandates.
- Build strategic partnerships: Develop institutional relationships and consortia that connect technical expertise with funding and implementation partners.
- Shape market opportunities: Translate climate, agriculture and development priorities into practical insurance and risk-financing propositions.
- Provide strategic oversight: Guide international assignments, coordinate technical teams and delivery partners, and ensure quality, client satisfaction and commercial outcomes.
- Represent KMD globally: Participate in senior client discussions, policy dialogues, conferences and industry forums to strengthen visibility and relationships.
