Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer with experience in commercial interior fit-out projects, including retail stores, showrooms, offices, and corporate spaces. The candidate will be responsible for space planning, design development, 2D/3D drawings, material selection, and coordination with clients, internal teams, and onsite execution teams to ensure designs are practical and delivered as per project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Space Planning

- Develop creative and functional interior designs for commercial fit-out projects.
- Prepare space planning, furniture layouts, ceiling layouts, flooring layouts, and interior elevations.
- Understand client requirements, project briefs, site conditions, and design specifications.
- Ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and budget requirements.

2. Drawings & 3D Visualization

- Prepare detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop 3D models and realistic visualizations using SketchUp, Enscape, or similar software.
- Prepare working drawings, sections, elevations, and detail drawings for site execution.
- Update drawings based on client feedback, design changes, and site requirements.
- Ensure drawings are accurate and issued on time.

3. Material & Finish Selection

- Suggest suitable materials, finishes, colours, furniture, lighting, and fixtures.
- Coordinate material selection with the client, Procurement Team, and Project Manager.




- Ensure material selections meet project specifications, budget, durability, and design intent.
- Prepare material boards, finish schedules, and design presentations as required.

4. Client Coordination

- Understand client expectations and translate them into practical design solutions.
- Present design concepts, layouts, 3D views, and material options to clients.
- Incorporate client feedback and obtain design approvals.
- Coordinate design revisions and ensure timely communication of changes.

5. Internal Team Coordination

- Coordinate with the Planning & Estimation Coordinator for project scope, BOQ requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Work with the Quantity Surveying (QS) Team to clarify quantities, specifications, and design-related cost implications.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Team for material specifications, availability, samples, and alternatives.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and onsite teams to clarify drawings, resolve design issues, and ensure accurate execution.

6. Site Coordination & Execution Support

- Visit project sites to understand existing conditions and verify measurements.
- Ensure site execution follows approved drawings and design specifications.




- Resolve design-related queries raised by the Project Manager and site teams.
- Review site progress and suggest practical design modifications wherever necessary.
- Ensure design changes are documented and communicated to all concerned teams.

7. Documentation & Project Delivery

- Maintain updated drawings, design presentations, material schedules, and revision records.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings and design deliverables.
- Coordinate design approvals and maintain proper documentation.
- Support project teams in completing work within agreed timelines and budgets.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in commercial interior design or fit-out projects.
- Experience in retail, showroom, office, or corporate interior projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp; knowledge of Enscape, 3ds Max, or similar rendering software is an advantage.
- Good understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and construction details.
- Ability to prepare detailed working drawings and 3D visualizations.
- Strong design sense, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
