The Group Credit Officer will be responsible for managing the credit risk of our customers, ensuring that credit policies are adhered to, and providing recommendations to mitigate financial risk.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate credit applications and assess credit risk for current and existing customers.
- Monitor and review credit limits and ensure compliance with credit policies.
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure alignment on credit policies.
- Prepare detailed credit reports and present findings to senior management.
- Conduct regular credit reviews and recommend adjustments to credit limits as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of credit assessments and decisions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1-8 years of experience in credit analysis or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in credit risk assessment tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with financial statements and credit reporting systems.
