The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specalist.This role focuses on keeping HSBC’s backup infrastructure reliable secure and ready for recovery when it matters most. You’ll work across Veritas NetBackup and Commvault at L3 level covering installation configuration and ongoing platform health. Success means incidents are resolved effectively changes are implemented cleanly and recovery testing is routine and dependable.
You’ll also plan and deliver upgrades migrations and diagnostics across NetBackup appliances and wider backup infrastructure. The work supports operational stability and helps meet organisational security standards.
In this role, you will:
• Carry out NetBackup and Commvault installation and configuration at L3 level
• Perform regular system maintenance and patch management across the backup environment
• Resolve incidents and implement changes to maintain service stability
• Diagnose and remediate performance and security issues across backup infrastructure
• Execute regular data recovery tests and disaster recovery procedures
• Plan and deliver software upgrades firmware updates migrations and hardware diagnostics for NetBackup appliances and related platforms
• Maintain backup infrastructure to mitigate security vulnerabilities and meet organisational standards
