Ideal candidate profile A senior engineering or technology leader from a UK bank, challenger bank or FinTech who has delivered corporate transactional banking, current account, cash management or related platform capabilities, understands core banking environments, and is passionate about using modern engineering and AI to change how banking products are built, delivered and experienced

Candidate profile

Essential experience

Demonstrable experience in UK Corporate Banking technology environments.

Strong Corporate Transactional Banking domain knowledge, including business current accounts, payments integration, client servicing, fees, overdrafts and related banking journeys.

Experience delivering transactional banking, current account, cash management or corporate digital banking capabilities.

Experience working with or integrating into core banking platforms such as Mambu, Finacle, Temenos, Thought Machine or equivalent.

Proven track record leading engineering teams, technology domains or delivery squads within financial services.

Experience delivering complex, multi-platform solutions in regulated banking environments.

Technical and architectural understanding

Strong understanding of API-driven integration, platform-based architecture and modern engineering practices.

Comfortable operating in a federated platform environment with multiple accountable platform owners.

Valuable understanding of cloud-native engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, test automation,



observability and operational resilience.

Able to challenge and guide architecture decisions while remaining pragmatic and delivery-focused.

Leadership and delivery

Strong people leadership with the ability to build, motivate and scale engineering teams.

Excellent stakeholder management across business, product, technology, architecture, risk and operations.

Commercially minded and outcome-focused, with the ability to connect technology delivery to business value.

Comfortable operating in ambiguity, shaping new capabilities and creating structure in a fast-moving environment

AI and innovation

Practical experience using AI-enabled tools or practices to improve engineering productivity, quality or delivery outcomes.

Strong curiosity about how AI is reshaping transactional banking, corporate banking technology and financial services delivery.

Ability to identify practical AI use cases that create measurable client, operational or engineering value.

Balanced approach to innovation within a regulated banking environment.
