ABOUT THE TEAM & ROLE:
Swiggy Instamart’s Supply Chain Fulfilment team builds and operates the systems that power workforce management and pod fulfillment. These systems sit close to day-to-day operations and need to work reliably at scale while evolving quickly with the business.
We’re looking for a strong, hands-on engineer to lead technical execution across a team of 8–10 engineers. This is an individual-contributor role: you’ll set technical direction, break down outcomes into transparent work, delegate and coordinate execution, coach engineers, and stay close to the code and production systems. You’ll partner with the product/business teams to understand the product features and specifications, translate them into high level and low-level design thereby facilitating the team in design and development of mission critical applications. You’ll partner with the Engineering Manager to own the team’s technology outcomes and act as the technical gatekeeper for new initiatives.
The role suits someone who can move comfortably between architecture, implementation,
reviews, operational problem-solving, and multiple parallel initiatives - and who can build robust systems from the ground up.
