Job Description
The Primary Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the engineering and design of High Voltage (HV),
Extra High Voltage (EHV), and Medium Voltage (MV) substations. The role focuses on the physical (primary) design of AIS/GIS substations, equipment selection, layout engineering, electrical calculations, and preparation of engineering deliverables while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Develop primary design for AIS and GIS substations from concept through detailed engineering.
• Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, equipment layouts, sections, elevations, and plot plans.
• Design outdoor switchyards and indoor GIS substations.
• Develop busbar arrangements, conductor layouts, and equipment clearances in accordance with CEA Guideline/IEC/IEEE standards.
