Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

- Review & processing of stakeholder Project Requests.

- Follow standard application & design engineering techniques and procedures to select, apply, design and draft wet seal products to repair or replace seals.

- Where necessary, liaise with Global Engineering Product Groups and other SMEs to provide ‘Right first time’ design solutions.

- Perform basic engineering calculations as required to validate design or create new designs. Familiarity with web calcs an advantage.

- Basic use of FEA tools like CSTEDY & similar tools for simple design analysis an advantage.

- Design wet seal products using 2 & 3D CAD techniques (Solid Edge preferred).

- Work with internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver projects on time maintaining quality.





- Troubleshoot and provide recommendation during assembly or installation or failure analyses.

- Support and work on departmental projects including, processes or procedure development, improvements and recent capability addition.

- Drive and track performance in applications engineering (Orders and Proposals)
- Smith's Excellence System Tier Reporting
- Ensure Regional Engineering drives use of Automatization and Global Design Centers
- Meet ‘People’ objectives including Staff Attrition, Talent Development, Diversity, and support My Say and the Smiths Leadership Behaviors.
