Role Description This full-time, on-site Optometrist role is based at our Tirunelveli location. The Optometrist will perform comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, binocular vision assessment, and evaluation for common ocular conditions. Daily responsibilities include prescribing and verifying corrective lenses, advising customers on lens options, and collaborating with the dispensing team to ensure accurate fitting and high-quality visual outcomes. The role also involves maintaining detailed clinical records, using digital diagnostic equipment,
educating customers on eye health and preventive care, and supporting smooth in-store operations.
Qualifications
• Formal training in optometry (Bachelor’s or Diploma in Optometry) and eligibility to practice as an Optometrist as per local regulations.
• Clinical skills in refraction, visual acuity assessment, binocular vision evaluation, and basic ocular health screening.
• Comfort working with digital diagnostic tools and dispensing technologies, including lens meters and related optical equipment.
• Strong customer-facing skills, including clear communication, patient education, and a service-oriented approach in a retail clinical setting.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in prescriptions, record-keeping, and coordination with the optical dispensing team.
