About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Avaya Professional Services Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Avaya enterprise voice and telephony solutions. This role involves end-to-end implementation, configuration, integration, migration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and customer delivery for Avaya-based communication environments, primarily for banking and financial services customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Avaya telephony environments.
- Administer Avaya Aura, Communication Manager, Session Manager, System Manager, and SIP infrastructure.
- Configure SIP trunks, dial plans, extensions, routing, gateways, ACD, IVR, and call flows.
- Integrate Avaya with Microsoft Teams and other recording and telephony platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex SIP, RTP, VoIP, call-quality, signaling, and call-routing issues.
- Analyze Wireshark captures, Avaya traces, logs, and system diagnostics.
- Support migrations, upgrades, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production deployments, and go-live activities.




- Collaborate directly with customers and third-party vendors on technical implementation.
- Provide root cause analysis (RCA) and resolve complex Avaya production issues.

Required Skills

- 5–10 years of Avaya implementation and support experience.
- Avaya is the primary required skill.
- Solid hands-on experience with Avaya Aura, Communication Manager, and Session Manager.
- Strong expertise in SIP, RTP, VoIP, ACD, IVR, SIP trunking, and call routing.
- Experience with Avaya recording integrations.
- Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, switches, and routers.
- Hands-on experience with Wireshark and packet analysis.
- Windows Server and basic SQL knowledge.
- Exposure to PowerShell or shell scripting.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills.
- Experience in banking and financial services is required.

Good to Have

- CCNA or Avaya certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams, AWS or Azure, VMware, Citrix, Active Directory, LDAP, and SSO.
