Role Summary

Automation and AI are rapidly evolving in the credit technology space, creating opportunities to generate business value. We are seeking individuals with strong skills in Pega RPA / DPA and PRPC, Alteryx, Java, Qlik Sense, AI, and other automation tools to support product deliveries. Familiarity with cloud engineering principles, particularly public clouds such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is also expected. Strong technical skills and adherence to software craftsmanship principles are essential to delivering robust automation solutions. A curious, proactive approach to learning new technologies is needed to support the modernization of existing automations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the technical design of case management solutions, ensuring compliance with guardrails and promoting reuse.
- Design class structures, application frameworks, and data models. Build service connectors to integrate Pega PRPC with third-party systems using RESTful services (JSON, XML, and HTTP), and integrate Pega with other platforms, APIs, data models, user interfaces, and security features within Pega Infinity.
- Define and enforce standards for ruleset strategy, branching, reuse patterns, and deployment.
- Debug Pega applications using tools such as Tracer, Clipboard, Admin Studio, and PDC; use monitoring tools such as Kibana and New Relic.
- Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting using PAL, AES/diagnostics, and Tracer patterns.
- Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and promote quality through comprehensive testing strategies.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and QA teams to deliver solutions end to end.
- Focus on performance engineering and optimization for large workloads.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in:
- Enterprise-scale case architecture and orchestration.
- Integration architecture, including API-led, event-driven, and distributed systems.
- Ruleset strategy, branching, and governance at scale.
- Security architecture, including enterprise-grade access control, data security, and compliance.

Required Experience
- Engineer 3 experience: practical experience in two coding languages or advanced practical experience in one language.
- 6+ years of experience in IT.
- 5–8 years of hands-on Pega development experience, including ownership of end-to-end delivery.

Must-Have Qualifications
- CSSA certification (mandatory).
- Strong design and implementation skills across:
- Case architecture, including multi-case orchestration and reusable subprocesses.
- Data layers, including data pages, sourcing, caching, and pagination strategies.
- UI rules (sections and harnesses), correspondence, SLAs, and routing.

- Robust integration experience, including:

- Designing REST services and connectors, authentication patterns, resiliency, and retry strategies.
- Error handling, mapping, and logging standards.

- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using Tracer, Clipboard, and PAL, including production issue triage.
- Experience with Pega DevOps practices, including branching models, pipeline deployments, and merge governance.

Good-to-Have Qualifications
- Deep experience with Pega Constellation, including design, migration, and enterprise rollout.
- Expertise in cloud-native deployments, including Pega Cloud, Kubernetes/AKS/EKS, and observability.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and release governance at scale.
- Exposure to Pega GenAI, AI-driven workflows, or agentic AI capabilities.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration ecosystems and microservices architecture.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Extensive experience in banking or financial services, such as disputes, cards, payments, lending, onboarding, or servicing.
- Experience with Pega Smart Disputes or other Pega industry frameworks.
- Exposure to global, multi-region deployments with compliance and regulatory considerations.
- A proven track record in legacy modernization programs involving mainframe, BPM, or workflow platforms.
