Resident Manager

Job Summary

The Resident Manager is a key leadership position responsible for the overall management and successful operation of a residential community. This role oversees resident services and administrative activities, ensuring residents’ comfort, happiness, and well-being. The Resident Manager is accountable for operational efficiency, financial performance, and resident satisfaction, and serves as the organization’s primary on-site representative.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee administrative functions, including housekeeping, food and beverage, guest services, health and wellness, maintenance, and security.
- Plan and oversee engaging activities for residents, encouraging active participation.
- Manage the community’s revenue, expenses, and operational profitability.
- Oversee human resources and employee welfare, including staff hiring and retention.
- Represent the organization and coordinate with resident committees and support offices.
- Prepare and submit daily and periodic reports on revenue, expenses, HR, resident satisfaction, activities, and incidents.
- Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of community equipment.
- Be available for emergencies as required by the on-site residency arrangement.
- Optimize expenses and implement measures to prevent wastage, pilferage, or malpractices.




- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
- Ensure the health and wellness team is prepared for daily operations and emergencies.
- Resolve resident complaints promptly and amicably, supporting high resident satisfaction.
- Regularly assess operations and develop action plans for improvement.

Qualifications

- Skills: Leadership, operations management, financial management, human resources management, customer service, problem-solving, communication, team motivation, conflict resolution, reporting, budgeting, and staff training and development.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Attributes: Empathetic, approachable, hands-on, proactive, detail-oriented, organized, resilient, able to work under pressure, and possessing strong interpersonal skills.
