Senior Java Azure Cloud Engineer
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Azure Cloud Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable cloud-based applications. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Java 17/21, Spring Boot 3.x, microservices, REST APIs, Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, SQL, and automated testing.
The selected professional will work across the complete application lifecycle, including technical design, backend development, code quality, cloud deployment, production monitoring, performance improvement, and incident resolution. The role also involves collaboration with business, engineering, testing, DevOps, and support teams in an Agile setting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Application Design and Development
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Build secure, reliable, and high-performing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Apply object-oriented programming concepts, SOLID principles, reusable design patterns, and clean coding standards.




• Participate in technical design discussions and convert functional requirements into appropriate technical solutions.
• Develop maintainable application components with proper exception handling, logging, validation, and documentation.
• Use modern Java capabilities such as Records, Switch Expressions, Streams, Text Blocks, and Pattern Matching where appropriate.

2. Microservices and API Engineering
• Design independently deployable microservices with clearly defined responsibilities.
• Develop REST APIs following API-first design principles.
• Maintain API specifications using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Implement standardized error handling using Spring Boot capabilities such as @ControllerAdvice and @ExceptionHandler.
• Integrate applications with internal and external services using technologies such as WebClient or Feign Client.
• Support asynchronous and event-driven integrations using Kafka or Az
