About The Role

The Software Engineering Manager manages the execution of the engineering strategy and roadmap that assists BT's commercial strategy through cross functional business partnering and the participation of a team that pursues innovation as well as engineering excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Procurement Application Ownership

Own the Procurement application portfolio, roadmap, and overall application health.

Ensure application availability, performance, security, compliance, and resilience.

Manage application lifecycle activities including upgrades, releases, vendor support, and risk management.

• Delivery & Transformation

Lead end-to-end delivery of procurement technology initiatives and transformation programs.

Manage delivery across internal teams,



vendors, and system integrators.

Ensure delivery against scope, timelines, budget, and quality expectations.

Procurement Platform Expertise

Strong experience with Procurement platforms, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), and Source-to-Pay (S2P) solutions.

Lead platform modernization and digital transformation initiatives.

• Agile & DevOps

Proven experience leading Agile, Scrum, and DevOps delivery models.

Drive sprint planning, backlog management, delivery tracking, and continuous improvement.

Technology & Architecture

Strong understanding of cloud technologies, APIs, microservices, automation, and DevOps practices.

Ability to review solution designs and align engineering solutions with enterprise architecture and security standards.

• Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Experience managing senior business stakeholders, product owners, vendors, and technology partners.
