Job Summary:
Neil Accountants is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with expertise in the Australian accounting process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations, and delivering accurate financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage end-to-end accounting functions for Australian clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
• Prepare and review financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws, including GST, BAS, IAS, and other statutory requirements
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
• Work on accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks
• Maintain proper documentation and financial records as per standards




• Mentor and support junior team members to ensure quality deliverables
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency

Requirements:
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Australian accounting process
• Solid hands-on experience with Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks
• Good understanding of Australian taxation (GST, BAS, IAS)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
