Cisco’s Enterprise IT DevOps as a Service (EDaaS) team is seeking a DevOps Engineer to assist with developing, enhancing, and maintaining, CI/CD automation supporting centrally managed DevOps tools and underlaying infrastructure, with a focus on Enterprise JFrog Artifactory. EDaaS is a fast-paced group at the center of enhancing and securing Cisco Engineering’s development workflows. To succeed in this role, you should be self-motivated and excited to be part of an innovative and continually learning DevOps team. Your demonstrated expertise in securing DevOps tools and implementing automated systems will be essential for this role.
Your Impact
• Design, implement, and debug during software development, and supporting activities such as creating technical design documentation, feature ideation, code review, and testing
• Drive platform reliability, troubleshoot complex issues within the production environment, may serve customers through on-call rotations to identify end user problems, may lead postmortem and write root cause analysis.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure environment consistency, scalability, and repeatable deployments.
• Apply industry accepted good practices for operational activities such as environment monitoring, deployment automation, security hardening, activity auditing, and configuration management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams bridge the gap between software development with infrastructure operations, fostering a culture of shared responsibility for system performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
• 3-4 years of recent Linux/Unix administration
• 3-4 years of scripting experience (Python, Bash, Groovy, etc)
• Good understanding of CI/CD workflows and binary management for various package types, including Maven, Docker, RPM, PyPi, etc.
• Valuable understanding of Git
