What you’ll do:
Eaton announced, on June 11, 20206, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
This position is part of the Vehicle Controls Product Line engineering team and supports verification and validation of rugged operator-control products for on-road and off-road vehicles and commercial mobile equipment. Products include rocker, toggle, push-button, key-lock, and rotary switches; indicators; multiplexed keypads and electronic switch modules; operator-control and human-machine interface products; and vehicle input/output modules. The engineer will translate customer, system, electronics,
mechanical, software, environmental, reliability, safety, and regulatory requirements into traceable verification plans, test procedures, test setups, and objective evidence. The role supports the full product-development cycle—from requirements review and design-risk assessment through prototype evaluation, design verification, product validation, production launch, and lifecycle support—and may also support electronics hardware design, schematic review, component selection, circuit calculations, printed circuit board design reviews, bring-up, and debugging under guidance from senior engineers.
