Electronics Engineer PCB Design, Testing & Debugging Job Description Who you are/: Create, evaluate, and test power, mixed/-signal, digital, and analogue electronic circuits and systems. Using EDA/CAD software, such as Altium Designer, KiCAD, or Cadence OrCAD, create component schematics and carry out multi/-layer printed circuit board PCB layouts. Based on performance specifications and bill/-of/-materials BOM cost goals, choose microcontrollers, microprocessors, sensors, passive parts, and integrated circuits. Utilising lab test equipment oscilloscopes, logic analysers, spectrum analysers, conduct benchtop prototype testing, circuit debugging, signal integrity analysis, and failure analysis. Work along with embedded software engineers to verify communication protocols I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, microcontroller peripherals, and hardware/-software interaction.



Create technical documentation such as engineering change orders ECOs, test specifications, component datasheets, schematic drawings, and PCB Gerber files. Organise pre/-compliance testing for electromagnetic compatibility EMC/EMI and make sure items adhere to international standards.
