Team Lead / Manager – Accounting & Financial Services
Experience
8+ years in Accounting and Financial Services, including prior team-handling experience.
Education
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices
Role Overview
Responsible for leading, managing, and motivating team members while ensuring smooth operations, effective collaboration, accurate financial reporting, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and team operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Monitor team performance and report key metrics.
- Identify training needs and provide coaching and mentoring.
- Address team concerns, conflicts, and performance issues.
- Recognize and encourage high performance.
- Promote creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Plan and support team-building activities.
- Drive process improvements benefiting the organization and client.
- Support transition activities, including documentation and transition calls.
- Participate in interviews and support initial team setup.
