Key Responsibilities

- Lead design, development, and delivery of Oracle-based solutions, enhancements, and defect fixes
- Provide quick, effective solutions to technical and business-critical issues
- Proactively understand business requirements and anticipate issues before they escalate
- Drive assigned tasks, changes, and projects to completion with urgency and ownership
- Mentor team members technically and build depth and capability within the team
- Set clear expectations, track progress, and ensure consistent output from the team
- Ensure high-quality deliverables through code reviews, testing discipline, and best practices
- Own Oracle architecture decisions covering performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Design and oversee API integrations and API gateway processing
- Use AI tools (especially Claude) to accelerate development, debugging, and defect resolution.

Required Skills and Experience





- 9 to 16 years of experience with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle
- Proven experience leading and managing technical teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong, result-driven leadership with a record of driving tasks, changes, and projects to completion
- Proactive grasp of business requirements and business-critical issues
- Ability to educate and upskill team members technically
- Consistent delivery of high-quality work
- Insurance domain and business functional knowledge
- Solid understanding of financial transaction flows

Technology and Hands-on

Must have Oracle (Database, PL/SQL), strong SQL, Oracle architecture, Oracle Reports, Jasper Reports, Cloud with AWS, API integrations, API gateway processing, hands-on use of AI tools (especially Claude) for development and defect resolution.

Positive to have Java; experience with policy administration, claims, billing, or accounting systems in insurance.
