Role & responsibilities

* Foundry Expertise: Deep understanding of various casting processes (sand casting, investment casting, shell molding) is crucial.

* Stamping & Fabrication Knowledge: Familiarity with these processes is beneficial for a broader understanding of manufacturing methods.

* Costing & RFQ Management: Proficiency in handling Requests for Quotation (RFQs), conducting product and process costing, and analyzing supplier quotes.

* Technical Review & Cost Estimation: Ability to participate in technical reviews to optimize processes and estimate costs effectively.

* Cost Analysis & Insights: Strong analytical skills to analyze costs in depth and understand the impact of different processes.

* Supplier Negotiation & Management: Expertise in negotiating with suppliers, validating costs, and ensuring alignment with project targets.

* Tool Cost Negotiation: Specific skills in negotiating and finalizing tool costs with suppliers.

* Supplier Agreements & Onboarding: Experience in drafting and managing supplier agreements,

handling commercial settlements, and initiating development projects.

* Supplier Technical Support: Ability to provide technical guidance and support to suppliers for process improvement.





* Supplier Management: Robust skills in managing supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and risk mitigation.

* Supplier De-risking & Alternate Sourcing: Proactive identification and development of alternate suppliers to mitigate risks.

* Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience working effectively with both domestic and international teams.

* Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are vital for effective collaboration and stakeholder management.

* Cross-functional Team (CFT) Involvement: Ability to contribute to cross-functional teams during the product development cycle, including design for manufacturing (DFM), tool development, and trials.

* Project Management: Ability to manage multiple RFQs and projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.

* Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

* Business Development: Basic understanding of business development principles and their application within the manufacturing context.
