Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency-

- We are seeking a highly skilled Production Support Engineer with hands-on expertise in Linux administration, SQL databases, and WebLogic application server administration.
- The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of production environments, while coordinating with development and infrastructure teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Monitor production systems, batch jobs, and application health on a 24x7 basis (as per shift schedules).
- Perform daily health checks of Linux servers, databases, and WebLogic environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux OS, SQL queries, and WebLogic application server.
- Manage deployments, patching, and configuration changes in production and lower environments.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents and provide permanent fixes.
- Optimize SQL queries and support database performance tuning.




- Collaborate with development teams to resolve application-level issues and support releases.
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting steps, and knowledge base articles.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Robust hands-on experience with Linux/Unix administration (commands, shell scripting, troubleshooting).
- Proficiency in SQL (Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server) query writing, debugging, optimization.
- Solid knowledge of WebLogic Server administration (installation, configuration, deployments, performance tuning, thread/heap monitoring)
- Good understanding of system monitoring tools (Nagios, Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
