Role Description The Web Developer at KIIMS will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining institution websites and web applications that support medical education, patient information, and institutional initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include building responsive front-end interfaces, implementing secure and productive back-end functionality, integrating databases and APIs, and ensuring website performance, accessibility, and reliability. The role involves collaborating with academic, clinical,



and administrative teams to translate institutional requirements into user-friendly digital solutions and regularly updating content and features.

The Web

Developer will also troubleshoot issues, optimize existing systems, and follow best practices in security and data protection. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development and Web Design skills to create responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.
- Candidates should possess solid Back-End Web Development and Programming skills to build secure, scalable, and maintainable web applications.
- Candidates should possess comprehensive Web Development skills to manage end-to-end website and web application lifecycle.
- Relevant experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (such as React, Angular, or Vue) is beneficial.
- Experience with server-side technologies (such as Node.js, PHP, or Python), databases (SQL/NoSQL), and API integration is advantageous.
- Understanding of web security, performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple projects, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
