About the Role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Inventory Accountant with hands-on experience in electronics or consumer electronics manufacturing, who can manage physical material movement and accurately record inventory transactions in Tally.

The candidate must have practical experience coordinating with Stores, Supply Chain, and Production teams to manage raw materials, job work, production consumption, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished-goods inventory.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is mandatory. Candidates with experience limited to general accounting, trading, retail, or distribution will not be suitable.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for products and variants in Tally.
- Maintain stock items, material codes, stock groups, units, and BOM revisions.
- Record purchase and material receipt entries against POs, invoices, and packing lists, and prepare or verify GRNs.
- Reconcile physical material receipts with purchase documents and Tally records.
- Maintain batch-wise, lot-wise, and part-number-wise inventory records.
- Record material issues and receipts for production, sub-assembly, and job work.
- Track raw materials and components lying with job workers and production teams as WIP.
- Record production consumption as per BOM and reconcile actual versus standard consumption.
- Record finished-goods inward against production and job-work records.
- Reconcile material issued, consumption, rejection, scrap, WIP,



balance stock, and finished-goods output.
- Track job-work charges and assist with product costing and landed-cost allocation.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock, material consumption, WIP, production output, and inventory valuation.
- Maintain proper documentation and an audit trail for all inventory movements.

Mandatory Requirements

- 2-3 years of relevant experience in stores, inventory accounting, or production inventory in a manufacturing company.
- Preference for candidates from consumer electronics, mobile phones, smartwatches, electronic components, appliances, or similar assembly/manufacturing industries.
- Hands-on experience in Tally inventory transactions, including GRN, stock journals, material issue/receipt, production entries, and stock reconciliation.
- Practical knowledge of BOMs, job work, production consumption, WIP, scrap, and finished-goods accounting.
- Experience reconciling physical stock with system stock across multiple material codes and part numbers.
- Valuable Excel skills and attention to detail.
- B.Com or an equivalent qualification.

Important Screening Criteria

Candidates must have practical experience in both manufacturing inventory operations and Tally-based inventory accounting. Experience in general bookkeeping, GST/TDS compliance, AP/AR, or purchase accounting alone will not be sufficient.

Candidates should be able to explain the complete material flow from inward receipt to production consumption, job work, WIP, and finished-goods inward.

Candidates without prior manufacturing industry experience will not be considered.
