Role Description This is a full time, on-site STEM Trainer role based in Udupi. The STEM Trainer will deliver engaging, hands-on lessons and activities in school STEM labs, guiding students through concepts in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The role involves preparing lesson plans and project-based modules, demonstrating experiments and tools, and ensuring safe, effective use of lab equipment.

The trainer will collaborate with school staff to align STEM sessions with curriculum goals, monitor student progress, and provide regular feedback. Additional responsibilities include supporting lab setup and maintenance, documenting sessions,



participating in training and upskilling programs, and contributing ideas to improve STEM content and teaching methods.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple, practical ways.
- Experience in classroom instruction, facilitation, or training, preferably with school-age learners and in a lab or hands-on learning environment.
- Ability to design and deliver interactive, project-based lessons and activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving.
- Comfort with basic lab equipment, educational technology, and tools used in school-level STEM labs, with attention to safety and best practices.
- Clear spoken and written communication skills in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
- Robust organizational and time-management skills, with reliability in planning sessions, maintaining materials, and documenting outcomes.
- Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work closely with school administrators, teachers, and the Qwings™ team.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, Education, or a related discipline; teaching or training certifications are preferred.
- Prior experience in STEM education, school programs, or educational outreach is highly beneficial.
