Role Description

We are looking for a Sr. Web Engineer with 3–5 years of professional experience and strong expertise in MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

You will own features from requirement clarification and technical design through development, testing, and release. The role involves making sound engineering decisions, improving application quality and performance, and supporting fellow developers through code reviews and technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using the MERN stack.
- Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and realistic effort estimates.
- Build reusable React components, responsive interfaces, and secure, well-structured REST APIs.
- Design SQL, MongoDB schemas and optimize queries, aggregation pipelines, and indexes.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance, security, and reliability.
- Write automated tests, review code, and maintain explicit technical documentation.
- Collaborate with designers, QA engineers, and project leads to deliver thoroughly tested features.
- Guide junior developers and contribute to architecture and development practices.





Required Qualifications and Skills

- 3–5 years of qualified web development experience, including hands-on delivery of production applications using the MERN stack.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including asynchronous programming, error handling, and maintainable code design.
- Strong experience with React.js, hooks, routing, component architecture, and state management using Context, Redux Toolkit, or similar approaches.
- Strong experience with Node.js and Express.js, including API design, middleware, validation, authentication, authorization, and third-party integrations.
- Practical experience with SQL/MongoDB data modeling, aggregation, indexing, and query optimization.
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS/responsive design, and accessibility fundamentals.
- Understanding of application architecture, data structures, and common performance bottlenecks.
- Experience applying secure development practices and protecting credentials and sensitive data.
- Excellent debugging skills across frontend, backend, and database layers.
- Proficiency with Git, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Ability to independently own features, communicate technical trade-offs, and raise risks early.

Hands-on cloud deployments [Azure/AWS/GCP], Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Positive to Have

- Experience with Next.js, caching, background jobs, or real-time applications.
- Experience mentoring developers and contributing to technical design decisions.
