We are The Future Animations. We animate one of the fastest-growing story universes on YouTube — twelve channels, billions of views a month, 330 artists, all remote.

Picture tells you what happened. Sound tells you how much it mattered. We are building out our sound and music team so every story lands the way it was written, not just the way it was drawn.

The role

You take a finished animation and give it a soundscape: effects for everything that moves, and music that tells the viewer how to feel.

Two halves of one job:

- Sound design (SFX). Every action in the picture gets a sound. Footsteps, doors, impacts, whooshes, room tone — the layer that makes an animated scene feel like a real place.
- Music (BGM). Scoring and editing music under the story so the emotional beats land. You are cutting and shaping music to picture, not necessarily composing from scratch.

We work to a written brief: every scene carries a named emotion from the writer. Your job is to make that emotion land through sound. You report to our production lead for sound and music.

What you'll do day to day

- Lay a full effects pass over finished animation, synced to the action.
- Choose, cut and shape music under the story so it rises and falls with the beats.
- Mix and balance dialogue, effects and music so nothing fights and nothing disappears on a phone speaker.
- Deliver to a daily schedule. This is a high-volume pipeline, not one film a month.
- Build and maintain a reusable sound and music library,



so the next video is faster than the last.
- Help write down what we know, so the standard holds as the team grows.

What we need from you

Must have

- Real sound design ability: you can score a scene with effects and make it feel alive.
- Music editing to picture — cutting, looping and shaping tracks so they fit the emotional beats.
- Fluency in a DAW: Premiere Pro, Audition, Reaper, Pro Tools, Logic or similar.
- Mixing sense: levels, EQ, ducking, headroom. Your mix holds up on phone speakers and on headphones.
- Speed, and the discipline to deliver on a daily schedule.

Nice to have

- Experience on animation specifically, where every sound has to be created rather than recorded on location.
- Composition ability, if you can write original cues.
- Foley experience.
- Familiarity with AI audio tools — we use them where they help and we are honest about where they don't.
