This is the permanent role with one of the valued clients of Tech Beam Design based in Bangalore. Role Summary Design and build backend services for payroll, leave, claims and our rule-based compliance engine.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services and REST APIs.
- Model and manage data for HR, payroll, leave and claims.
- Implement and maintain rule and policy evaluation services.
- Improve performance, reliability and security of backend systems.
- Write unit and integration tests for backend services.
- Work closely with frontend and ML teams to design clean APIs.
Requirements (Must Have)
- 4+ years of experience as a backend engineer.
- Strong skills in Node.js / TypeScript or Python (FastAPI / Django or similar).
- Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar) and SQL.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
- Positive understanding of clean architecture, modular design and testing.
- Experience with caching (Redis) and background jobs / queues.
- Basic understanding of security for web backends (auth, RBAC, handling PII).
Good To Have
- Experience with rule engines or policy-as-code frameworks (DMN, OPA/Rego, etc.).
- Experience with event-driven architectures or audit/event sourcing.
- Experience with integrations to payment gateways, banks or government systems.
- Experience in HR, payroll or other compliance-heavy domains.
