About the Role

We are looking for a Site Engineer who can manage day-to-day work on site. The person should understand drawings, know how work is done on site, coordinate workers and contractors, check quality and keep simple daily records.

Main Responsibilities

1. Site Work & Supervision

- Check daily work at site and make sure work is done as per approved drawings.
- Guide workers, contractors and trades such as carpentry, civil, electrical, plumbing, false ceiling, flooring and painting.
- Plan the day's work with the Project Manager / Site Supervisor.
- Check that materials, tools and workers are available before work starts.
- Make sure different trades are coordinated properly and do not clash.
- Report site problems early so they can be solved quickly.

2. Drawing Understanding

- Read and understand basic architectural, interior and working drawings.
- Check dimensions, levels, layouts and details before work starts.
- Understand and follow the latest working drawings at site.
- Do layout marking on site as per drawings.
- Tell the Project Manager / Design Team if a drawing does not match the site.
- Make sure old or cancelled drawings are not being used.

3. Quality & Defect Checks

- Check workmanship and finish regularly.
- Find defects, mistakes or poor finishing and get them corrected.
- Check important dimensions and alignment before work is completed or covered.
- Keep a simple defect/punch list and follow up until work is closed.
- Make sure completed work is protected from damage.

4. Daily Logs & Progress

- Maintain a straightforward daily site report.
- Record manpower, work completed, materials received and important site issues.
- Take regular site photographs for progress records.




- Update the Project Manager on completed work, delayed work and problems.
- Track daily progress against planned work.

5. Material & Contractor Coordination

- Check materials received at site and report shortages or damaged materials.
- Make sure materials are stored properly.
- Coordinate contractors and workers for their daily work.
- Take basic measurements for completed work when required.
- Support the Project Manager with material and quantity requirements.

Required Skills

- 2–3 years of site experience in interior fit-outs, construction, turnkey projects or similar work.
- Good practical knowledge of how construction and interior work is carried out.
- Able to read and understand working drawings.
- Able to do layout marking and check measurements at site.
- Good understanding of finishing work and basic construction details.
- Good communication with workers, contractors and the project team.
- Responsible, punctual and comfortable working on site every day.
- Able to use WhatsApp and basic Excel / mobile apps for daily updates and photographs.

Education & Experience Education: ITI, Diploma, Civil, Architecture, Interior Design or a related technical background is preferred. Practical site experience and ability to understand drawings are very important.

Experience: 2–3 years of relevant site experience.

Working Conditions – Jaipur

- Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan.
- Full-time, site-based role.
- Regular visits to Purple Shell project sites in and around Jaipur.
